GUTTENBERG NJ

Guttenberg, NJ is a small town in Hudson County whose population is slightly over 11,000. 

The town is only four blocks wide and is one of the smallest municipalities in New Jersey but one of the most densely populated in the country.

Guttenberg is located atop the Palisades overlooking the west side of NYC, north of  Woodcliff Gardens and The Parker Imperial in North Bergen and south of The Versailles and Port Imperial in West New York and Weehawken. 

To the west is Kennedy Boulevard and Bergenline Avenue the commercial corridor of North Hudson.  To the east is the NJ Gold Coast which borders the Hudson River, opposite Manhattan's Upper West Side.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km2), of which, 0.2 square miles (0.5 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2) of it (16.67%) is water and a male population of about 46% and a female population of 52% totaling over 11,000 residents who are mostly Hispanic.

Comprising about 20% of the population in Guttenberg is the Galaxy Towers, developed by Prudential Insurance Company which was built in the late 1970s on Boulevard East. The three octagonal Galaxy skyscrapers named GalaxyTower 1, Galaxy Tower 2 and Galaxy Tower 3 rise 415 feet above the Palisades and have 1,075 condominiums with three separate lobbies and all the amenities including an indoor pool.
