Express and local buses to and from Manhattan and adjacent New Jersey areas stop directly in front of the Parker Imperial on Boulevard East. Buses travel to and from Manhattan by way of the Lincoln Tunnel (which is approximately 3.5 miles from the property) to the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd Street & Eighth Avenue, Manhattan, which connects with the IND, IRT and BMT subways. Scheduled travel time as posted by the bus company for the trip is approximately 20 minutes to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Local bus service is also available on a regular basis to many points in Hudson and Bergen Counties.

The West Side of Manhattan can be reached by automobile by way of either the George Washington Bridge (which is approximately 4.8 miles from the property) and the West Side Drive, or the Lincoln Tunnel. The East Side of Manhattan can be reached by way of the George Washington Bridge, the Harlem River Drive and the FDR Drive. LaGuardia and Kennedy Aurports and Long Island can be reached by way of the George Washington Bridge, Harlem River Drive, Triborough Bridge and Grand Central Parkway, or by way of the Lincoln Tunnel, Queens Midtown Tunnel and Long Island Expressway.

The New York State Thruway and points North, and Newark Airport, Newark, the New Jersey Shore and points South, can be reached by the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, and Palisades Parkway.

There is a neighborhood shopping area five blocks from the property, at 79th Street & Bergenline Avenue, with a Shop-Rite and an A&P supermarket at 80th Street & Bergenline Avenue. Neighboring Bergen County contains the Bergen Mall on Route 4 (approximately 12.3 miles from the property) and the Garden State Shopping Center on Route 17 (approximately 13.9 miles from the property). Macy’s is the leading department store in the Bergen Mall, while Garden State Shopping Center boasts over 2,000,000 square feet of first-class retail stores.
